CAREER INFORMATION (EMPLOYMENT SKILLS)

The Employment Skills Program helps students who have an IEP who are pursuing a Certificate of Completion to gain job skills in a variety of volunteer settings in the community with a job coach as needed.  In this first year students are learning about the kinds of jobs they like and in which they can succeed.  Classroom instruction is centered around social skills on the job and the process of getting a job.

CAREER EXPLORATION (EMPLOYMENT SKILLS 2)

In this second year students with an IEP, pursuing a Certificate of Completion for graduation continue to volunteer or obtain a paid position with the assistance of a job coach.  The focus of this second year is on further development of career interests, social and interview skills.  Students and parents are assisted in connecting with Vocational Rehabilitation to help with employment support after high school.
